This was the first school to be built by the association Nepalhilfe Beilngries, in 1993-1995.It was built in Kadambas, the hometown of our friend Rajendra Giri, in order to accommod ate 10 classes for approximately 500 pupils. It is dedicated to mountaineer Michl Dacher, who was the first well-known mountaineer to support the association Nepalhilfe Beilngries with the proceeds of a benefit lecture. (See www.k2-1979.de )
Currently, the school enrolment has leveled out at around 450 pupils through the establishment of additional small schools in nearby towns. Housing for 6 teachers is provided in the proximity of the school.
