June 2017 – The temporary solution will soon be disused

The Nissen huts which have served as school rooms for more than two years will certainly soon be disused. Parts of the whole building complex had to be torn down which housed the regular school and the school for the blind. Close by, the school for the blind will be completely newly planned and built. According to the new safety regulations the remains of the building have been gutted and re-erected.

Progress in building can also be observed here. Meanwhile pillars have been secured and walls have been erected.

Inauguration on 28.11.2010

On November 28th 2010, the school was ceremonially opened by Erwin Stixx from Sektion Lichtenegg. He was accompanied by Franz Rennhofer, Mayor of Lichtenegg, who has been campaignin g for the association in his hometown for years. He had undertaken the strenuous journey and was clearly impressed with the dedication and commitment of his compatriots and the association Nepalhilfe Beilngries. He promised further support from the town of Lichtenegg.

Starting from the school year 2011/12, more than 400 pupils will receive basic education at the new school. Best wishes for that!
